Growing Ties was developer Dr. Ludos's entry for the programming contest organized by Atari Gamer in tribute to the Lynx's thirtieth anniversary: each customer asks for a tie of a specific length, and the player must cut it precisely, with difficulty rising as orders become more demanding and there's less time to think. It later got a Deluxe edition with additional levels and modes, plus a physical release for collectors. It's a good example of how commemorative programming contests keep injecting fresh, minimalist ideas into the catalog of a handheld that has already passed its thirtieth year of life.
