Mattel leveraged its own toy line and the associated cartoon to release this adaptation, in which He-Man has to make his way across a stage shooting at Skeletor's forces, with the simplified aesthetic typical of the 2600's late catalog. It's one of the many toy-cartoon-video game crossovers that characterized Mattel during those years.
It's not one of the console's most fondly remembered titles, but it documents well the cross-licensing business model that was already starting to take hold in the '80s children's entertainment industry.
