Raiders of the Lost Ark offers an exploration adventure with multiple screens visible at once, object-based puzzles, and an open structure that was unusual within the era's movie-license catalog, which was almost always much simpler. It's one of the best-regarded licensed games on the 2600, appreciated both then and now for its design ambition; a rarity amid the sea of rushed early-80s film adaptations.
