Saving Santa Tree was Fadest's entry for LynXmas 2020, the express development contest jointly organized by AtariAge, ejagfest, and Sillyventure during the year-end holidays, with the brief of creating a single-screen game in just 32 kilobytes with a Christmas theme. The player controls Santa Claus, who must throw gifts at mischievous elves to make them drop the ornaments they stole from the tree, across ten levels with a platforming feel in the style of Super Mario Bros. 3. It's a perfect sample of the spirit of these year-end contests: production limited by time and memory constraints, but with a clear idea well executed from start to finish.
