SwordQuest - FireWorld, set within the Kabbalah's Tree of Life, is the second of the four adventures Atari planned within the SwordQuest series, in which solving an in-game puzzle led to a clue hidden in the comic book included with the box, and that clue was part of a real contest with $150,000 in prizes split among the four entries. FireWorld's prize, the Chalice of Light —a platinum-and-gold cup studded with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, pearls, and jade— was won in January 1984 by Michael Rideout, who solved the game in 50 minutes drawing on his knowledge of tarot. By the time the winner claimed the prize, Atari was already sinking into the 1983 video game crash and had been sold to Jack Tramiel, who had no interest in keeping the contest alive: the planned fourth entry, Airworld, never got finished, leaving SwordQuest as one of the most ambitious and unfinished projects in all of Atari's history.
