Vid Grid came out in 1995, developed by High Voltage Software and published by Atari Corporation, leveraging the CD format's space to incorporate full-motion video: the screen is divided into a grid of squares with fragments of a music video shuffled at random, and the player must reorder them by sliding pieces until reconstructing the original sequence before the timer runs out. It thus combined the classic sliding puzzle with real audiovisual content, something only the disc format made possible at the time. It's one of the most curious experiments in the Jaguar CD's brief catalog, a way of using digital video for something beyond the cinematic scenes that dominated other releases in the format.
