Xump - The Final Run was born in 2005 courtesy of the independent studio Psilocybin Development (now known as Retroguru) and has since added versions for a huge number of systems, both modern and retro. The player must fill every square of a maze with water in the fewest moves possible, carefully planning the route because a single misstep can leave the level unsolvable. The Jaguar version arrived courtesy of the homebrew label Reboot, which specializes in physical editions for the console. It's a good example of how certain contemporary independent games adopted Atari's retro hardware as just another platform within their catalog, rather than treating it as an isolated curiosity.
