Yastuna Volume 1: The Alchemy of Cubes was published in 2008 as a free software package for the Lynx, designed to circulate freely within the community: it gathers several minor productions, among them Tetrisnoid, a variation on the falling-blocks classic, and Merlain's Quest, a short adventure signed by the developer known as Messire Kuk. Years later, the Yastuna name was picked back up by the homebrew label Yastuna Games for a new series of releases on the same handheld. It's a document of a more artisanal and collective stage of the Lynx scene, when several small projects tended to be bundled into a single distribution package instead of each coming out separately.
