Eldorado Gate Dai-3-kan is the third of the seven installments into which Capcom split El Dorado Gate, a turn-based RPG published in Japan at a bimonthly pace between October 2000 and October 2001, with save data transferable between volumes to sustain a single continuing story. The cast of twelve protagonists and the character and monster design, handled by Yoshitaka Amano —the same artist associated with much of Final Fantasy's imagery—, gave it a very distinctive visual identity.
This third chapter deepens the interweaving of stories among the different heroes seeking to reunite, guided by the enigmatic Bantross. It's part of one of the most ambitious -and most demanding for the player- narrative experiments in Dreamcast's Japanese RPG catalog.
