Eldorado Gate Vol. 2 picks up the choral story of twelve heroes Capcom began telling in the first volume, with the same dungeon, elemental magic, and gear-upgrade system typical of Japanese turn-based RPGs, and Yoshitaka Amano's work on character and creature design as the main artistic hook.
The episodic format, uncommon even by Japanese standards, required buying each installment separately to follow the full plot. It's one of the most particular bets in Dreamcast's RPG catalog, today reappraised thanks to recent interest in translating the complete saga.
