Aidyn Chronicles bet on tactical turn-based role-playing, with its own fantasy world, a strategic combat system, and narrative ambition unusual for the console's standards, something rare on an N64 dominated by action and platformers. It was made by Stormfront Studios, an American studio with a track record in the genre on PC, and published by THQ in 2001, already in the machine's twilight.
It arrived late and with little marketing, so it went largely unnoticed, but for RPG fans it's one of the catalog's most singular pieces: N64 rarely dared an RPG of this caliber.
