ADI is a French educational brand with roots in the 90s (born on PC and Amiga courtesy of Coktel Vision) that kept mutating from platform to platform without losing its formula: a mascot character who guides the student through curriculum exercises, in this case math and French for the early years of collège. Arriving on DS was a logical continuation: thanks to the success of Brain Training, the handheld had become an appliance accepted in French school backpacks.
It isn't a game built for leisure but a school reinforcement tool, and should be read that way: it serves a review function more than an entertainment one, in line with the many trainers the DS accumulated in continental Europe.
