Ginsei Igo is one of the longest-running Japanese brands dedicated to Go software, with versions on home consoles and handhelds since the 90s. This DS entry follows the logic of "getting stronger by playing," with different levels of artificial intelligence and exercises built for practitioners of all skill levels.
Like much of the Japanese traditional board-game software on DS, it never crossed borders: its audience is the local Go enthusiast, a game with centuries of tradition in Japan and a player base far larger than in the West.
