It closely follows the premise of the 2007 film -with Jerry Seinfeld voicing and co-writing the bee Barry B. Benson- across a series of platforming levels and flying minigames that rebuild the film's settings: the hive, Central Park, the final trial. Like almost every film tie-in of the era, it aimed to capture the young audience leaving theaters wanting to stay in that world a little longer.
It never aspired to more than that, and today it's remembered, if at all, as part of the anecdotal pile of licensed games DS churned out by the truckload.
