Developed by feelplus and Brownie Brown under the supervision of Mistwalker -the studio of Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy- and with character designs by Akira Toriyama, this DS spin-off takes the Blue Dragon universe (born on Xbox 360) and moves it into a grid-based turn-based strategy format, with the protagonists' Shadows as combat pieces. It's a rarity within the franchise, cherished by those closely following Sakaguchi's work after Final Fantasy; its limited print run and the fact that it never released in Europe made it, over the years, a coveted object for handheld RPG collectors.
