Docomodake was born as an advertising character for NTT DoCoMo in the early 2000s and over the years gained its own series of simple, colorful platforming videogames designed for a broad audience. "Boing!" was the entry that made it to Europe, with short levels, jumps, and the endearingly goofy aesthetic of the mushroom protagonist as its trademark.
It's a curious case of a corporate mascot managing to sustain a game franchise for several years, something uncommon outside Japan, and today it works as a charming rarity within the console's platforming catalog.
