Published by Taito, Bubble Bobble DS revives the formula that made the original 1986 arcade famous: dragons Bub and Bob must clear each screen by trapping enemies inside bubbles and popping them, in single-screen platforming levels designed for short matches, solo or co-op.
The DS version adds new modes and levels to the classic skeleton without betraying its original arcade spirit, and it's one of the many revisions Taito made of its most beloved franchise over the decades, appealing both to arcade nostalgics and to those discovering it for the first time on the handheld.
