Sacrifice has Buffy facing waves of vampires and demons in a side-scrolling beat 'em up, with stakes, kicks, and simple combos, while an original plot -written for the game, not adapted from a specific arc of the series- leads her to uncover a new threat in Sunnydale.
It's one of the franchise's few forays into the street-fighting genre, and although its mechanical ambition is limited, it keeps the show's characteristic tone and humor, something fans of the series tend to appreciate in this kind of adaptation.
