Based on the animated series Ben 10: Alien Force, it puts the player in the role of Ben Tennyson transforming into his various alien forms to face waves of enemies, with the villain Vilgax as the plot's central threat. It follows the usual structure of Cartoon Network tie-ins of the era: simple combat and a variety of playable characters as the main draw.
