Captain Sabertooth (Kaptein Sabeltann) is a pirate character very popular in Norwegian children's culture, with his own books, plays, and theme park; this game takes him into a platforming adventure with fire hazards and traps typical of pirate lore. It's an example of how even very local licenses from a single country still ended up with their own DS videogame.
Its circulation remained limited mostly to Scandinavian countries, where the character has real roots.
