It accompanies the release of Despicable Me (2010), the film that introduced the world to Gru and his Minions, with platforming levels and minigames closely following the film's events. It came out in different versions depending on the platform; the DS version goes for compact levels designed for short sessions.
It's one of the first products derived from the Minions phenomenon, before the brand expanded to the massive level it would later reach.
