A1 Spirit - The Way to Formula-1 is one of the many racing games the Japanese MSX scene produced in the '80s, riding the hook of Formula 1, which was then growing rapidly as a global spectacle. It offers the fantasy of climbing from the lower categories up to the top tier, with tracks seen from behind the car and the typical arcade mechanics of accelerating, dodging rivals, and staying on the track. It's a title that today survives mostly on the radar of MSX collectors, representative of how the Japanese market squeezed any popular sports theme to feed the computer's catalog.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
