Bari Bari Densetsu takes its name and universe from Shigeno Fumihiro's motorcycle manga published in the 80s, a story of street racing and two-wheeled rivalry that, in spirit, anticipated what the author himself would later perfect with Initial D. The video game adaptation follows that same logic: speed, motorcycles, and the tension of the race as its central axis.
For anyone familiar with the manga, it's an unmissable curiosity: seeing how that story was translated into the reflexes and limitations of a game from that era, long before street racing became a mainstream video game genre.
