Bee & Flower starts from a simple idea rarely seen in the MSX catalog: casting the player as a bee that must move between flowers, dodging dangers and meeting objectives tied to that pollination fantasy turned into an action game. It's an example of how the machine's Japanese catalog explored premises far removed from the science fiction or epic fantasy that dominated the genre. Like so many titles distributed only in Japan, it's a minor and poorly documented piece today, but representative of the thematic freedom MSX software enjoyed in the hands of small studios.
