Beach-Head recreates a full military landing split into several phases — naval combat, tank advance, a final assault on the enemy fortress — with a chained-scene structure that was highly influential in the early '80s. The MSX version inherits that structure from Access Software's original Commodore 64 game, adapting graphics and sound to what the Japanese machine, as distributed in Europe, could handle. At the time it was praised for the variety packed into a single cartridge and for memorable moments like the digitized voice announcing the final attack; today it's remembered as one of the first war games conceived as a succession of distinct scenes rather than a single repeated mechanic.
