Bloody Wolf sends two commandos to free prisoners of war across stages packed with enemies, with a power-up system earned by freeing those hostages instead of picking items up off the ground. It's one of the most solid run and guns of its generation thanks to that twist on the genre, and it's still played with pleasure today by those who enjoy late-80s arcade military action.
