Romancia - Dragon Slayer Jr. is the third installment of Nihon Falcom's Dragon Slayer saga, released in 1986 for the PC-8801, PC-9801, MSX, and Sharp X1: unlike its denser, more punishing predecessors, this one goes for a bright, colorful tone — hence the "Jr." nickname — with the goal of rescuing Princess Selina within a thirty-minute time limit. It's an action-adventure RPG with direct keyboard control, without the layers of complexity found in other entries in the series.
The soundtrack featured a very young Yuzo Koshiro, who years later would become one of the most influential figures in Japanese game music. A later Famicom version, developed by Compile, further expanded the reach of this more accessible spin-off within the saga.
