Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon is the original Japanese installment of the spin-off that combines the Final Fantasy universe with the randomly generated dungeon formula of the Mystery Dungeon series. Its mix of turn-based exploration and familiar characters gave it its own identity within the roguelike genre.
