AFL Premiership 2005 is the annual entry dedicated to Australian football, a sport with enormous local roots that rarely crosses borders in video game form. It reproduces the clubs, players, and the particular physical, aerial dynamics of the discipline, made almost exclusively for the Oceania market.
It's above all a product of geographic niche: for the Australian and New Zealand audience it worked like the FIFA or Madden of their national sport; for the rest of the world it remains a sports curiosity that's hard to find and even harder to enjoy without knowing the rules of the game.
