AirForce Delta Strike continued the arcade aerial combat series Konami had been polishing since the Dreamcast days, with a wide catalog of real aircraft and missions that prized speed and spectacle over hardcore simulation. On PS2 it arrived as a more accessible alternative to series like Ace Combat.
It doesn't seek a flight simulator's technical rigor; its goal is immediate adrenaline, with short, pure arcade sessions. It's a good entry point for anyone wanting aerial combat without the learning curve of the generation's harder simulators.
