All-Star Baseball was, for several years, one of the serious alternatives to Sony's series in simulated baseball, with a full license from the MLB and its players' union. The 2002 edition arrived on PS2 betting on smoother animations and a deeper career mode than its predecessors on other platforms. Today it's mostly a document of a specific MLB season, frozen on disc. It appeals more to the retro sports collector than to the player looking for modern tactical depth.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
