AMF Xtreme Bowling takes the license of the American bowling chain and pushes it toward arcade territory, with effects, power-ups, and flashy settings that move away from traditional bowling. It's representative of how minor sports licenses looked to stand out in a catalog saturated with serious simulators.
It doesn't aim to be a faithful simulation of the sport, but a light pastime for short games with friends. Its interest today is mainly nostalgic, as part of the console's bowling game boom.
