It continues the generation's line of arcade bowling games, with different throwing styles, themed alleys, and multiplayer modes built for short games with friends, with no greater ambitions than a good couch game. It's part of a wave of bar-sports titles PS2 received in numbers toward the end of its lifespan.
There's not much more to say: it's exactly what the box promises, no more, no less.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
