Anubis - Zone of the Enders is the name under which Konami's mecha sequel was known in Japan, with production tied to Hideo Kojima's team and direction by Noriaki Okamura. The game polished everything the first entry had proposed: fast giant-robot combat, with dodges, aerial combos, and a visual spectacle that impressed at the time on PS2.
Its short length and focus on pure action divided opinions, but over time it gained a reputation as a cult gem for its staging and score. The Western version, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, ended up being more remembered than the original Japanese release that gives this entry its name.
