Asterix & Obelix - Kick Buttix adapts René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's Franco-Belgian comic into a platforming and action game where Asterix and Obelix hand out slaps to Roman legionaries with the series' characteristic humor. Like much of the Gaulish duo's European adaptations on that console, it targets a family audience already familiar with the characters from the books and films.
It's a competent, unsurprising platformer, remembered more for fondness toward the license than for gameplay ambition. It remains a charming way to spend time with Asterix and Obelix for anyone who grew up with the comics.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
