Bakugan Battle Brawlers began as a collectible Japanese toy that became a global phenomenon thanks to its anime and its mechanic of magnetic spheres that pop open when they land on a battle card. This video game brought those creature fights into a turn-based combat format set within the series' universe.
It came out at the peak of the franchise's popularity among kids in the late 2000s, and today it stands as a testament to that wave of toys with a digital component that defined that era of childhood.
