Bass Strike joined the wave of fishing games that rode the popularity of bass fishing as a televised sport in the United States, with rod, lures, and the tension of waiting for a bite as the base of its gameplay. It's a modest title, made for a very specific audience of sport fishing enthusiasts. Like most fishing simulators of the PS2 era, it survives today more as a catalog curiosity than as a genre reference.
