BDFL Manager 2002 puts the player in charge of a German league football club, with the genre's usual tools: transfers, training, lineups, and the team's financial administration across a season. It's a product made specifically for the German audience, faithful to the Bundesliga's real structure.
Like most regional sports managers of the time, it remained confined to its home market and today is a rarity outside Germany.
