The game revisits Ben-Hur's iconography -slavery, the Roman arena, and the famous chariot race- to build an experience that alternates on-foot combat levels with driving and chariot-collision sequences. It's one of the many classical-era adaptations that sought to capitalize on the success of Gladiator in cinema.
It didn't achieve great critical reception, but retains interest as a thematic curiosity within PS2's historical action catalog. For fans of the interactive peplum genre, it's a mandatory, if modest, stop.
