Bomberman Battles keeps the formula that made Hudson Soft's franchise endure for decades: grid-based mazes, bombs that detonate in a cross pattern, and direct competition among several players to be the last one standing. This PS2 installment added its own modes and stages within the huge number of spin-offs the saga had in the PS2 and PSP era.
Above all, it's a game to enjoy with company: the Bomberman formula always worked best on the couch with friends rather than solo, and this installment is no exception.
