Tondemo Nezumi Daikatsuyaku combines entertainment and language teaching, an edutainment format very typical of the Japanese market of the time, with the mascot Tondemo Nezumi guiding players through exercises and activities. It's a product made for home and school rather than for the traditional player.
Like so many educational PS2 titles, it remained almost exclusively confined to Japan and today is more of a catalog curiosity than a game sought for its mechanics. It's of interest mostly to those documenting the lesser-known side of the console's software.
