Carol Vorderman's Sudoku takes advantage of the worldwide sudoku boom of the mid-2000s and pairs it with the figure of Carol Vorderman, a British presenter popular for her role in TV math programs, to offer a collection of progressively difficult boards designed for short sessions. It's a direct example of how a publishing trend -sudokus in newspapers and magazines- migrated to video games.
Its proposal is simple and functional: pure logic entertainment, with no narrative, designed for brief sessions rather than gaming marathons.
