Chou Battle Houshin is a Japanese tactical RPG that draws on Chinese mythology -the term 'houshin' refers to the investiture of the gods, the central theme of the classic novel Fengshen Yanyi- to build a cast of deities and warriors who fight in turns on grid-based boards. It fits into the abundant tradition of low-budget tactical RPGs PS2 had almost exclusively for Japan.
Without a release outside its original market, today it depends entirely on the Japanese language and is material for collectors and fans of the console's turn-based strategy subgenre.
