Club Football was Codemasters' bet on a soccer simulator sold club by club, with each edition centered on a specific team -its roster, its stadium, its identity- instead of offering a full league like FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer. The Borussia Dortmund version targeted the German market and the yellow-and-black fanbase directly. It's a curiosity within the soccer simulator genre: a niche formula, designed for club loyalty rather than competitive variety.
