Colosseum: Road to Freedom puts the player in the shoes of a gladiator who must fight in the Roman arena to earn, battle by battle, his freedom, with a system of skill and melee-weapon progression as the foundation of gameplay, in the wake of games like Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance.
It's one more entry in the brief but curious boom of gladiator games PS2 had in the mid-2000s, without the impact of other historical action titles on the console but with its own focus on the idea of freedom as the final reward.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
