Dance Dance Revolution X continued the formula Konami perfected in Japanese arcades since the late 90s: stepping on the correct arrows in time with the music on a pressure-sensitive pad, with difficulty scaling from accessible to nearly impossible for anyone who doesn't train specifically.
For the last wave of PS2 fans, this entry represented a way to keep dancing at home what had previously only been experienced in arcades, with the advantage of a song catalog curated for the Western market.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
