Deep Water, developed by Tamsoft and published as part of the Simple 2000 line in Japan (Simple 2000 Series Vol. 54 - The Daikaijuu) before its international release, puts the player in the role of El Shipak, a young man who roams a world covered in water hunting sea monsters from the deck of his vessel, buying fuel and weapons at floating ports between missions.
It's a shooter with a simple structure but with a curious setting - that flooded world and its creatures - that sets it apart from the genre's more generic offerings in PS2's final stretch.
