Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening tells the origins of Dante as a demon hunter, before the events of the first game, pitting the protagonist against his twin brother Vergil in a plot about the legacy of their father, the demon Sparda. Capcom corrected course after the controversial second entry, restoring to the saga the demanding difficulty and the combat-style system that would define the stylized action genre for the entire decade.
For much of the critics and players, it's the best entry in the classic saga and one of the pinnacles of hack and slash on PS2, with a combat system still cited as a mandatory reference for the genre.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
