Cory Barlog took the reins at Santa Monica and unleashed this technical monster in March 2007, with the PS3 already on shelves — Sony proving its 2000-era console could still humiliate the new kid. Kratos scales the titan Gaia, stops time itself with the Sisters of Fate, and leaves behind the most brazen cliffhanger of the generation. Many consider it the absolute peak of the Greek trilogy.
