The Bigs deliberately moved away from the strict simulation that dominated the console baseball genre to bet on spectacular plays, special powers, and a faster match pace, in line with what NBA Street or FIFA Street had done for other sports. It's a fresh alternative within a genre that in those years was dominated by serious simulators like MLB The Show, designed for those seeking immediate fun over statistical fidelity.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
